Dr. Ronald Werter provides laser toenail fungus treaments, foot and ankle surgery, and diabetic foot care, as well as treatment for diabetic foot ulcers, bunions, hammertoes, and heel pain.

Dr. Ronald Werter is a caring physician who has been a resident of and Podiatrist for the West Side community for the past 35 years. He has been the primary podiatrist for numerous Manhattan dance companies throughout the years. Dr. Werter is on staff at Mount Sinai Morningside (formerly St. Luke's Hospital), Mount Sinai West (Roosevelt Hospital), and Lenox Hill Hospital/Northwell Health.

Dr. Ronald Werter is a specialist in many different aspects of Podiatry including heel spurs, Plantar fasciitis, diabetic foot care, foot and toenail fungus, ingrown toenails, stress fractures of the foot, podiatric sports orthopedics, Morton's neuroma, joint problems, and general foot care. He is pleased to announce that now he has the new Q-Clear medical laser which can treat unsightly fungus toenails. The latest diagnostic instruments are available in the office, including diagnostic ultrasound to accurately view and monitor soft tissue pathologies of the muscles, tendons and joints. Ultrasound also provides precise guidance for injection procedures. The office offers digital x-rays and non-invasive assessment of peripheral arterial disease (PAD) using a vascular analyzer.

Dr. Ronald Werter is a Fellow of the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine. He is Board Certified in Podiatric Orthopedics by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. He is the author of a number of articles on podiatric sports medicine and diabetic foot care. Dr. Werter is a Past President and current Board Member of the New York Division of the New York State Podiatric Medical Association.
